While two Board membersgot re-elected during this year's election, the Environmental Chamber of the FSC Board of Directors welcomes Margareta Renström as a new member.

New face in the Environmental Chamber
Every year three out of the nine Board members are elected or re-elected for a 3-year period. Thursday afternoon, the three newly elected Board members were officially appointed in front of the FSC General Assembly. Eric Palola and Chris van der Goot were re-elected while Margareta Renström is new “on board”.
Margareta Renström may be new on the Board - but not to the FSC system. She has worked with forest certification issues since 2000, when she joined the WWF European Certification Initiative. Since 2006 she has been leading the WWF's international policy work on FSC and forest certification. During the last few years, she has focused especially on promoting certification in the pulp and paper sector.
We wish all of the FSC Board members good luck, and look forward to seeing the outcome of this 3-year matrimony.
