Parag is responsible for helping NEPCon establish in India - in providing certification and verification services, especially for FSC FM, FSC COC, and for LegalSource certifications.
Parag provides support for the certification coordination and audit planning for NEPCon in South Asia.
Parag Kadam has a Master of Forest Conservation (MFC), accredited by the Canadian Forestry Accreditation Board, from the University of Toronto, Canada, and has experience working on climate-change and clean-growth policy analysis for Parks Canada Agency of the Government of Canada. He also has a MSc in Evolutionary Anthropology from Durham University, UK, a Graduate Diploma in Anthropology from University of Auckland, and Bachelor of Technology (Chemical Engineering) from National Institute of Technology, Nagpur, India.
He worked in open/unregulated forests in western Tanzania for a year and a half, conducting large mammal behavioural ecology research and facilitating conservation-related local community engagement. He has significant cross-cultural, cross-sectoral and cross-disciplinary capability which he now uses to contribute to the fields of forest management and certification. He also worked with UNESCO, with a bio-archaeological field-school, as well as with academic research teams in Auckland and Durham.
Parag joined NEPCon in November 2018.
