Darren is responsible for the maintenance and development of NEPCon’s system for auditing customers against FSC Controlled Wood standards.
Darren maintains and develops NEPCon’s internal tools and templates used in our Controlled Wood auditing system. He works to maintain NEPCon’s accreditation in relation to Controlled Wood, conducts internal training of auditors and quality auditing, and provides technical support to NEPCon staff. Darren also contributes to the development of NEPCon’s Responsible Sourcing programme, where he has conducted project activities focussed on helping companies exercise due diligence to source legal timber and responsibly-sourced agricultural commodities.
Darren has a BSc with honours in Forestry, and an MSc in Sustainable Tropical Forestry. His professional experience includes forest certification, environmental conservation and rehabilitation, and forest assessment.
Darren joined NEPCon in 2016.
